Coffee Art
Coffee art is quite a controversial topic, to do or not to do? This is the question. If you can create a masterpiece whilst still obtaining a great coffee. i.e. Full flavour, nice acidity, well balanced flavours and a crisp clean aftertaste. Why not put the beautiful presentation on top. But what I find is to many barsita's trying to pour a Rosetta(leaf) or hearts and in the process wreck the coffee with either to much foam or not enough just so it looks nice. NOT ON! Silipo Training manages to teach the training Barista to focus on the quality of the beverage first and presentation second. If I receive a coffee when out and about that looks great but tastes average, I do not go back. However if I receive an excellent tasting coffee with pour presentation, I definitely go back. That is some thing to think about. So, if you want to learn how to do latte art. First learn the the art of coffee and then learn how to make it appealing and in doing so both your customers and yourself will enjoy the espresso industry.
